Listening Ear and CYP Services

Listening ear offers adult counselling for clients aged 16+years and above within a BACP Accredited service. A bespoke, activity based therapeutic 1:1 support service (Butterflies) for children and young people aged 4 -16 years who have experienced bereavement, loss, divorce, separation, domestic abuse, murder, manslaughter and suicide. A pre-bereavement counselling and activity based support programme for families living with a terminal diagnosis is planned to start in October 2014.

SOBS is a self-help, voluntary organisation. Many of those helping have, themselves, been bereaved by suicide.
Helpline open daily 09.00 – 21.00. National helpline provides listening support and can put people in touch with a local group. You can send an email to email.support@uksobs.org where it will be read and responded to by one of our volunteers. They can offer support, answer questions and provide details of other support you may wish to explore.
